Details: This is a training for those members interested in becoming Worksite Leaders. The session will be broken into three sections: an overview of the role of WSLers with a breakdown of how our local operates, an overview of our contract and hands-on training with handling grievances, and a large group session discussing how to do site/office visits, how to organize members and tips to create a union culture within your department. The MGAA executive committee with provide you with a folder with the resources you need to hit the ground running, and the training to empower you to become a visible and active member of the union.
Light refreshments will be provided. If you know of someone who might be interested in this training, please bring them along.
